We have authority in Christ to take back what is rightfully ours from the devil. When we were redeemed in Christ, that Redemption was out of the hand of the ememy. We have been translated out of the kingdom of Satan, into the kindgom of the Son of the Father's love. We do not have to fight to conquer Satan, because Satan is already conqured. He was congured for you and me.
As Christians we believe that Satan is the author of disease and confusion and our hearts' suffering. But we have the power of attorney (if you will) to use the "Name of Jesus" who has declared all authority in heaven and on earth is "His". That authority is now given to us because of what Jesus did at calvery. The Holy Spirit is our teacher of how to use this authority that has been delegated to you and me to meet every need and every crisis of our lifes.
Through the "Name of Jesus" we can destroy the works of the adversary. We can break the power and dominion of disease and demons over our bodies, hearts and minds.
We have the "Name of Jesus" as we are "His" children, born of "His" Spirit, and partaker of "His" Eternal Life. Not only that but "His Word" has given us absolute assurance of our relationship with Him. Jesus gives us the right to say: "I am a child of God. I am a New Creation. I am an heir of God, and a joint-heir with Jesus Christ himself." We can rejoice in the fact of Satan's defeat on our behalf. We now know we have authority over all the authority of the enemy in Jesus's Name!!!
Ephesians 1:19-22 says: “And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church.”
John 14:12 reminds us: “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me anything in my name, and I will do it.”
Just remember God's love can dispel sorrow, help a broken heart, and give us a great assurance that the love of God is real. May the Lord Bless you, Rev. Dorothy M. Barry
