It is right and good that we take time each year to remember that
blessed event of the Birth of Christ. It was foretold by the prophets
of old. It is a well documented historical event chronicled in the
Gospels and supported by the historians of that day.
After His death and resurrection, it is easily the GREATEST EVENT
IN HUMAN HISTORY! THAT is why we celebrate Christmas!
The Old Testament, written over a period of 1000 years and written
several hundred years before the tim… Continue
As I decorated my Christmas tree and setup the manager scene in my living room I couldn't help but to think about the Christmas season in general, its origins and early traditions. Did you know that Christmas wasn't celebrated by the early church until the fourth century. In the fourth century, the church decided to try to redeem a Roman pagan winter solstice festival: the festival of Saturnalia. This December holiday was considered the "birthday of the unconquered sun." Romans danced in the str… Continue
So here it is Thanksgiving time once again. This week most families will all gather around the dinner table to give thanks for all they have been blessed with.
The Thanksgiving tradition dates back to the earliest days of our society, celebrated in decisive moments in our history… Continue
We have authority in Christ to take back what is rightfully ours from the devil. When we were redeemed in Christ, that Redemption was out of the hand of the ememy. We have been translated out of the kingdom of Satan, into the kindgom of the Son of the Father's love. We do not have to fight to conquer Satan, because Satan is already conqured. He was congured for you and me.
As Christians we believe that Satan is the author of disease and confusion and our hearts' suffering. But we have the power… Continue
Should born-again Christian believers celebrate together with the world this holiday of Halloween? Should church leaders have "dress up" night allowing children to come in as biblicial characaters? I won't tell you not to, but this study below will present some facts and you can decide for yourself. Here is a study and teaching on the subject by my dear friend Rev. Terry Pavone from Florida.
TEACHING ON: "HALLOWEEN" by Rev. Theresa Q. Pavone, A.TH,B.TH
Christians should NOT celebrate or partak… Continue
The Bible speaks of difficulties coming in different forms, levels, and
degrees. The Bible does not deny bad times. Even Jesus spoke very
candidly about the bad things that would be a part of our earthly lives.
"In the world you shall have trouble," He said. That sounds to me like
He’s trying to prepare us for the possibility of pain. He does not say
that things will not hurt us, wound us, nor would injure us.
He doesn’t promise that our lives will be perfect and painless.
Yet, for some reason,… Continue
"May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us--yes, establish the work of our hands", Psalm 90:17.
Through the years the nation gave increasing emphasis to Labor Day. The first governmental recognition came through municipal ordinances passed d… Continue
If we feel we do not have sufficient faith to depend on God to accomplish His will through our life despite our "trials and tribulations," we can always ask the Lord for the "gift of faith." This gift is one of the provisions for those who are baptized with the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 12:9). The Lord did not leave us without the tools to overcome our lack of faith. As we are faithful to exercise our "measure of faith" that has been given to each of us, our faith will grow. Then we can believe… Continue
I was asked recently if life truly is a spiritual battle. My reply was a resounding and unequivocal yes! To me there is an external battle going on where God is fighting and also the devil is fighting to gain control of all of us. It is kinda like a strong thunderstorm that is raging. It all starts with a warm air mass and a cold front meet and when that happens there are many different things that are in this storm like strong winds, lighten, hail, ect.
You can read through any book of the Bib… Continue
The Fourth of July, or "Independence Day", honors the nation's
birthday -- the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July
4, 1776. The document itself was written by Thomas Jefferson, the
3rd president of the United States BEFORE his presidency. It is a
day we celebrate with p… Continue
How can prayer influence our lives - our present , our past & future?
The power of prayer should not be underestimated. James 5:16-18 declares, "…The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. For example Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops." God most definitely listens to prayers, answers prayers, and moves… Continue
I was doing a study concerning the birthright of Esau and Jacob today and wanted to share with you this evening. You are more then welcome to add your thoughts at the end!
There was a lot of deception in this story found in Genesis 26 and 27 between the twins Esau & Jacob, their mother Rebekah and Issac their father. However through out the passages we can see that Esau didn't love God or want his birthright blessing as much as Jacob did. But the other problem was that Isaac loved Esau more… Continue
Honor our Fallen Heroes
Throughout our history, the men and women who have worn the uniform of the United States have placed the security of our Nation before their own safety. America will be forever grateful for their service and sacrifice.
The 30th day of May, formerly known as Decoration Day was designated for the purpose of strewing with flowers or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country during the late rebellion, and whose bodies now lie in almost… Continue
President Obama signs Prayer Day Proclamation: ".... hereby proclaim May 7, 2009, as a National Day of Prayer. I call upon Americans to pray in thanksgiving for our freedoms and blessings and to ask for God’s continued guidance, grace, and protection for this land that we love." What God wants to do on the earth, He will do through prayer intercessors. When God wants to change those course of actions or events that will take a path of their… Continue

Have you ever been disappointed? Really disappointed? Maybe you watched as your dreams crashed and burnt, or perhaps someone you loved and trusted let you down...
Check out what happened in Numbers 14:1-12 :
I’m sure that at this point in history the people of Israel were feeling a little disappointed. They had come out of Egypt, crossed the Red Sea, followed the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night, were fed with manna and quail, they watched as Moses made water come out of the rock a… Continue
Romans 7:15-25
15I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me.… Continue
"Dreams and aspirations", they are our hopes for a brighter future. For some, they are goals that were set from the very start, from our early childhood or from within the heart. They are our wants, and they are our desires.
But, what happens when our dreams shatter? When all of the hope that we had seems to have been destroyed? What happens when everything that we worked for completely and suddenly crumbles right before our very eyes?
Many of you in this group have had dreams, a… Continue
Should Christians celebrate "Valentine's Day"? Is there anything
wrong with this holiday? Rev. Theresa Pavone takes a closer look.
First of all, the Bible speaks of love. The Lord wants us to "love
one another." 1 John 4:7,8 tells us to love another, for love is of
God. Therefore, love is of God.
Second, God has proved His love towards man through the gif… Continue
