- Currently, my journey is a rocky one and the season is a stormy one, but I know God has placed a ministry inside my heart and I strive with all my heart to carry out all He has inspired my heart to do. However, right now my health is a road block it is my hope this network of believers can help move the work to be accomplished for His good.
For the past years I have hospiced and cared for my grandparents and my mom, until I later became ill. I have been diagnosed with an identified muscle disease, fibromylia, degenerating dics disease and dematomyastis, to name a few of the issues. I continue to claim healing and God's power in my life. He has healed me before, so I look to Him once again for His healing hand to be upon me so I can do the work He has intended for me to do.
I will continue have hope in our awesome God that He will fulfill all that He has set me on this earth to accomplish for His glory to reach the lost. For He knows the plans He has for me and they are for good not harm. Therefore, your prayers and encouragement are very welcome and appreciated! May God bless you back 100 fold for your ministry in my life and the life of others!
The Ministry God has given me makes use of the talents He has blessed me with, such as art, writing, poetry, composing songs and sculpture. He also has placed in me a deep compassion for orphans, the abused and hurting ones in this world. I use the proceeds from the sales of art and other goods to fund projects and resources for children at risk, as well as sponsor orphans around the world. It is my hope someday to also network teams to go to orphanages to share God's hope, light and love by using art as a tool to open doors. So far I have sponsored over 50 children and I hope to sponsor even more in the days to come.
As a part of ministry I lead an online ChristianParentHelps Group to discuss child development and parenting issues. It is a group to encourage one another and support each other as one seeks to raise their child to love and serve God, as well as be a healthy individual, knowing he/she is loved and cared for by a mom/dad and their heavenly Father. we must support and encourage one another in these difficult times when there is so much pressure on our children.
Also I moderate a Christian_Artists Group (both groups can be found at yahoo groups). This group encourages those with artistic talents that God has given them. It is open to all areas of art and meant to encourage one another in the talents God has given each of us to shine forth to a hurting world. It is a group to share ideas, art and your heart. The goal is to encourage one another and paint this world with God's love.
As a side note, due to the fact, I am a survivor of violent acts of abuse and rape much of my work surrounds children of abuse and with developmental disabilities, such as autism. The painting, The Gate" was inspired by working with an autistic child. (You can view it at: http://laurieh.myexpose.com).
It has been my goal to strive to network with other organizations out there to donate funds to continue the work to reach these children, as well as, those that have been orphaned or abandoned. There is so much to do and accomplish!
There was a time I was blessed to have the opportunity to use the talent God has given me to sell artwork to raise funds to help the homeless and well as those in need of medical care too. My heart goes out to all those whom are "lost" "alone" and "abandoned"...seeking for hope for the future. I pray that God will continue to direct my footsteps to help many and to be His hands and feet here on this earth. Together we are HIS body work for His good and perfect work to reach out to a lost and hurting world...Let REACH out to them together...united as one!

I am called to help the hurting and lost, to bring hope to others, especially the "risk children" and orphans. I work to network other Christians to raise funds to sponsor projects and orphans around the world. I ofter my art for sale as one of the ways to do just that. I have other ways too. This Moment Alive!
Spring is a time for rebirth, for growing and changing...THANKS be to God for the Springtime!
Yes, it has arrived! It is truly Spring and April showers do bring May flowers, although I already have MANY flowers blooming in my yard. There is such a rainbow of color in my garden flowered yard...flowers, trees and leaves of many colors too! I LOVE IT! It is so inspiring...I just love going out there to sit and in the moment allow the colors of life splash all over me...aaaahhhhh, how grateful, how… Continue
