Prov 3:5,6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.
(NAS)

Prov. 3:5,6 Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own.

Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track. Don't assume that you know it all.
(The Message)

TRUST THE LORD -

1.To have or place reliance; depend: Trust in the Lord. Trust to destiny.

1."Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass ... Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him ..." (Psalm 37:4-7)

2."Who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the Lord and rely upon His God.
" (Isaiah 50:10)

(Psalm 125:1) (2 Kings 18:5-7) (Isaiah 26:3)

6."A good man ... will not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is established; he will not be afraid, until he sees his desire upon his enemies.
" (Psalm 112:5-8)

(Psalm 34:8-10)

8."He who heeds the word wisely will find good, and whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he.
" (Proverbs 16:20)

People who can trust the Lord are happy people!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Proverbs 29:25) (Isaiah 57:13)

11.Thus says the Lord: "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the Lord. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land which is not inhabited. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but her leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.
" (Jeremiah 17:5-7)

WITH ALL YOUR HEART -

a.The vital center and source of one's being, emotions, and sensibilities.

b.The repository of one's deepest and sincerest feelings and beliefs: an appeal from the heart; a subject dear to her heart.

God has given us NEW HEARTS!!!!

Eze.
11:19-20

Eze.36:24-28 “........ I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.“Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; ......so you will be My people, and I will be your God.

Jesus explaining to the disciples why he speaks in parables.

Matt.13:10-17 And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” 11Jesus answered them,...... ......13 “Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
14 “In their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says,

‘YOU WILL KEEP ON HEARING, BUT WILL NOT UNDERSTAND;

YOU WILL KEEP ON SEEING, BUT WILL NOT PERCEIVE;

15 FOR THE HEART OF THIS PEOPLE HAS BECOME DULL,

How does a dull heart react?

WITH THEIR EARS THEY SCARCELY HEAR,AND THEY HAVE CLOSED THEIR EYES,

OTHERWISE THEY WOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES,

HEAR WITH THEIR EARS,

AND UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART AND RETURN,

AND I WOULD HEAL THEM.

It is in the heart that we see and hear not though our intellect

How often do you find that your words are inadequate to express what you really feel in your heart?

(the wife as the glory {expression} of the husband)

1Pet.3:1-6 In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word (the husband not listening to Jesus), they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives as they observe your chaste and respectful behavior. Your adornment must not be merely external—braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses; but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God. For in this way in former times the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands; just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, and you have become her children if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear.

As the bride of Christ we can speak by our hidden heart life without words to a world who is not looking for or listening to Jesus. A respectful, gentle and quiet life that is moved by the love of God and not by fear of punishment can win the world over for Christ!!!!!!!! The love and acceptance Christ has given us is now ours to give to everybody we meet.

YOUR UNDERSTANDING -

1.
Intellectual hold: apprehension, comprehension, grasp, grip, hold - of knowledge

Chinese proverb. To tame a tiger one has to know its nature.

When Adam rebelled against God He was turning away from trusting in the Lord to trusting in his own understanding. Instead of living by means of Life (i.e.
Hearing and following Jesus Christ) He would live by the knowledge of good and evil thus comprehending intellectual understanding (see tower of Babel)

Quote:

It is the duty of the human understanding to understand that there are things which it cannot understand, and what those things are. Human understanding has occupied itself with nothing but understanding, but if it would only take the trouble to understand itself at the same time it would simply have to accept the paradox.

Author: Kierkegaard, Soren

In other words – We cannot understand ourself without understanding God. With finite brains we are incapable of intellectually understanding an infinite being such as God. The conclusion is that we cannot understand ourselves. Thus we must lean on the Lord and his understanding within our hearts to direct our journey in life.

I have an understanding but it is very limited unlike God who's perspective is perfect. I don't want to relay on my understanding but on the limitless view of God.

IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM – Listen for and to Him in everything you do. We are blind and deaf without His eyes and ears to see and hear for us. He must be our teacher.

Prov.22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.

AND HE WILL

MAKE YOUR PATH STRAIGHT – As Opposed to the Wilderness Wanderings for Students who are learning to hear Him. As we learn to follow the Lord's will our will is transformed into his will. As we learn to behold Him we are transformed by Him into Him.
